The Surge Mesh Kit builds on the success of the original Surge kit from Alesis, replacing the standard drum heads with mesh heads. The mesh heads on the drums provide an even more authentic and natural response, feeling like conventional drums when you strike them. The electronic 8-piece design is comprised of a 10-inch dual zone mesh snare, three 8-inch dual-zone mesh tom pads, as well as an 8-inch mesh kick tower pad and pedal and three cymbals. The dual-zone snares provide added expression, with the dual-zone design allowing for the trigger of two separate sounds for maximum versatility. The three cymbals include a ride cymbal, crash cymbal with choke functionality and a hi-hats.

Surge Drum Module

At the heart of the Surge electronic kit is the Surge Drum Module. This module boasts 40 kits in total, including 385 sounds and 60 play-alone tracks. The module also features a built-in metronome for adhering to strict tempos and rehearsing. The built-in kits span a wide range of genres, supplying you with a wide range of versatile sounds. The module boasts integrated effects which include a Reverb and 3-band EQ, allowing you to customise your sound and sculpt your tones. The radiant LCD display provides you with all the information you need on your kits, sounds, tempo and more. The easy-to-use interface allows you to quickly navigate between onboard effects, sounds and more.

Maximum Stability

The sturdy and robust design of the kit ensures optimal stability, with the collapsible chrome 4-post mounting rack. The fold-out design is ideal for transportation, allowing you to easily pack it away, folding in to save space, providing a compact electronic drumming solution. You can tidy away the kit within minutes for quick and easy setup also. Additionally, the kit comes complete with connection cables, drum sticks, drum key and the power supply for added convenience.

Versatile Connectivity

One of the most unique features of the Alesis Surge Mesh Kit is the ability to record live performances and play MP3 files through the kit itself. The AUX input allows you to connect smartphones, MP3 players and more, allowing you to play over your favourite songs without the need for external devices. There is also a USB output which can be used to control your virtual instrument collection by transmitting MIDI information to a computer. It also features MIDI In/Out ports so you can use the kit with a range of other equipment such as synthesizers and more.
