Exceptional Low-End Response
The Genelec 7380 SAM Subwoofer utilises the most cutting-edge technology to deliver the best possible low-end response and audio performance. The 7380 Subwoofer is ideal for high-end mixing and mastering applications, thanks to its extended frequency range and premium-grade components. The subwoofer boasts exceptionally high power and sound pressure levels, with low-distortion response and versatile bass management controls. The subwoofer has been optimised to work with other Genelec monitors and subwoofers, allowing you to calibrate and control them within a system. This 15-inch subwoofer uses Class D technology to provide 800 W of power, with a frequency response ranging from 16Hz-120Hz (dependent on your mode).
Optimised Amplifiers & ISS Technology
This flagship subwoofer now offers even more power in the low-end, thanks to the optimised amplifiers and ISS technology. Each transducer within the subwoofer is driven by its own dedicated amplifier, catering to its needs to provide optimised audio performance. The result is powerful and defined low-end, ideal for everything from post production to music mastering applications. The amplifiers work by having their own dedicated frequency range, resulting in superior sound output. One of the most unique features of the 7380 Subwoofer, is the Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology. The ISS tech reduces power consumption in stand-by mode for added efficiency. It also features its own dedicated switch on the rear of the Subwoofer for toggling it on or off.
Smart Active Monitor (SAM) Systems
Genelec have incorporated their own technology to ensure the Subwoofer is optimised for the best possible low-end performance. As one of the members of the SAM family, the 7380 has been improved using the GLM software application, allowing you to configure and control the monitors and subwoofers within your system. This allows you to attenuate your sound, dependent on the space you are using them in, and/or different applications. It allows for both centralised and distributed bass management modes for added versatility.
7.1 Analog & AES/EBU Digital Connectivity
One of the most unique and convenient features of the subwoofer is the versatile connectivity the unit provides. The 7380 boasts 7.1 analog I/O for film and post production applications, adhering to the professional standards. The AES/EBU digital connectivity allows for both stereo operation or full 7.1 digital, while incorporating Genelec’s 9301 Digital Interface (optional). The tailor-made design means it is ideal for professional applications such as music, film, broadcast and more. And its specialised enclosure provides added punch for the user.
Design & Construction
The heavy-duty and robust design of the subwoofer is ideal for professional recording studios and high-end home studios. The enclosure of the unit uses Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE) technology helping to provide the accurate low-end response. The spiral-shaped design results in a rigid enclosure exterior, while also forming the sub’s integral port. The unrestricted airflow and premium-grade design ensures optimal longevity and audio performance. The rear of the unit also features GLM Network ports for connecting units together. There is also an Input Producing control with various different dB settings for tuning your subwoofer to your needs.
