The Hedd Audio TYPE 05 MK2 speaker features a 5” honeycomb woofer and a high-definition Air Motion Transformer driver, providing clear and accurate upper mid and high frequencies. Its high-end 32-bit SHARC DSP allows for precise tuning to suit individual needs, while the HEDD Lineariser, a zero-phase filter, creates a captivating stereo image and depth. With closed or ported functionality, the speaker offers the choice between accurate, detailed sound (closed) or enhanced bass response (ported).

The desktop filter eliminates reflections from nearby studio furniture, and hi/low shelving filters allow for further tuning of the output. The bass-extension mode boosts the bottom end by up to 20%. It is part of a complete linear phase satellite-subwoofer setup, including BASS 08 subwoofers, and features aluminum pot controls. The speaker also supports both analog XLR and digital AES connections, with AES/EBU compatibility for daisy-chaining.
