The low-frequency driver’s output works in conjunction with the high-frequency array to deliver centred radiation of sound. Phase accurate sound

The low-frequency driver's output travels from the same location as the high-frequencies. This means that the dispersion pattern projects directly from the centre of the loudspeaker.
