The Tascam TM-DRUMS kit features a total of four microphones, each specifically created for particular jobs. The TM-50DB responds perfectly around the important frequencies of a kick drum, while the TM-50DS works beautifully at capturing the nuances and key aspects of a snare. The TM-50C condensers work perfectly as overheads thanks to their relatively flat frequency response with a slight lift towards to 6kHz+ end of the spectrum. This allows them to capture an accurate and balanced recording of the full kit, whilst enhancing the sizzle of the cymbals and providing that sought after "sweetness" to cut through the mix.
